Regulations

Attendance:

Students are expected to arrive before class time and to attend all scheduled classes.  Students who have more than six unexcused absences per semester may not participate in the June performance.  Students who must miss a class or can't avoid being late should contact the school to let your teacher know.  Students who arrive more than 15 minutes after class begins without prior notice, will not be allowed to participate.

Observation:

Parents may observe classes on scheduled observation days; one in November and one in March

Behavior:

Students are expected to behave in a respectful manner, and to be polite to both teachers and students.  Rude or aggressive behavior will be reported to the parents immediately.  Students who consistently misbehave or who are consistently absent without excuse may be dismissed from the school without tuition refund.  If any student feels that he or she is being ridiculed or bullied in class, he or she should report this to the teacher immediately.  Such behavior is not tolerated in this school.

Safety & Security:

Although we feel that the school is in a safe area, students must wait for parents inside the building.  Students should be picked up promptly at the end of their class or rehearsal.

We are committed to having a school where each student is able to concentrate on achieving his or her best.  We feel that the above regulations will help

"Dance skills are disciplines which require concentration, self control (and) disciplined practice in order to be acquired. It's how you keep order in class. It's how you (the teacher) become free to teach and the children become free to learn: by adherence to the traditional protocol of a dance class"
